About HCI Skilldemy

The Global Skills Training Academy, also known as HCI Skilldemy, is a dynamic initiative by Health Careers International (HCI) aimed at elevating education in healthcare. HCI Skilldemy specialises in offering non-awarded, internationally-focused training courses, developed by Institute of Health and Nursing Australia (IHNA Australia) and Institute of Health and Management (IHM Australia)’s curriculum experts for offshore delivery.

Why HCI Skilldemy

Curated and developed by our team of experienced curriculum specialists, our courses provide students with the knowledge and hands-on training they need to succeed in the global healthcare workspace.

Our approach to education is built on a foundation of collaboration and innovation. We forge long-lasting partnerships with premier overseas educational institutions to give our graduates skills and capabilities that are on par with the best in the world.

Skill Sets

HCI Skilldemy uses a concept of “skill sets” as the building blocks of learning. This flexible approach allows our students to acquire partial qualifications that can be combined to achieve a full qualification. Each individual learning unit contributes toward a larger goal, so that learning happens one step at a time. This method empowers learners to accumulate knowledge and skills at their own pace and in their own time, making vocational education more accessible and manageable.

Online Learning

At HCI Skilldemy, we leverage the power of online learning platforms to deliver a structured and consistent educational experience for our students. Our courses are designed to provide a high-quality learning environment with globally relevant content and assessments. All students, regardless of where they are in the world, receive the same comprehensive education and are assessed against the same benchmarks. And what’s more, online delivery offers students the flexibility to learn at their own pace, adapting to suit their individual learning styles.

Program Objectives

The HCI Skilldemy program follows a set of key objectives, with the aim of strengthening and upskilling the international healthcare workforce:

  • Bridging Skill Gaps: We address critical skill gaps within the global healthcare sector, thus creating a more robust and efficient healthcare system worldwide.
  • Boosting Employability: Our programs are designed to ensure graduates meet the Australian vocational education standards, fuelling their successful healthcare careers across countries.
  • Global Reach: We offer our courses to students worldwide, giving them a chance to meet the international demand for high-quality Australian vocational education and training.
  • Accessibility: We dissolve geographical barriers by providing online access to the high standards of the Australian education system.
  • Language Learning: Students can choose to develop valuable English language skills or learn in their local languages.
  • Flexible Learning: We offer the flexibility to meet domestic educational standards while ensuring global capabilities.
  • Workforce Development: We are committed to the development of a global healthcare workforce equipped with skills relevant to the evolving healthcare landscape.
  • Pathway to Qualifications: On completing multiple non-accredited HCI Skilldemy qualifications, students can pursue Australian qualifications through established processes like “gap training” and “Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).”
